Let’s Get Dissecting

Welcome aboard Entertainment Dissected. I hope you enjoy the ride- and, yes, depending on what I’m writing about, it may get a little bumpy. The title of this blog says it all; there are no hidden or underlying agendas. Here you will read some commentary and analysis of goings-on within the music, movies and television worlds- and various media related to them- past, present and future. Every now and again, the topic at hand may stretch beyond mere entertainment value- that happens when an artist, movie or program impact is so grand that it penetrates the culture at large beyond what music’s heard on our CD player/iPod, the films and shows projecting off the big screen and our televisions. For inspiration, I will draw upon my personal favorites, popular choices of others (as unappealing as I may find them) and anything else that may offer significant fodder for discussion and debate.

Since this is an outlet for expression, readers, do not hesitate to let your feelings and viewpoints known- all I ask is that you do so in a respectful and dignified manner- toward myself and other posters. And, if there’s an entertainment topic you’d like to see covered and/or debated, go ahead and suggest it.

 As with any dissection, discussions may get messy. But, hopefully the end result will lead to an appreciation and newfound comprehension of the specimen(s) under the microsope.
